Bruschetta – Rezept auf Deutsch
You need
12 medium sized slices of ciabatta (made with our recipe or bought at a bakery)
1 clove of garlic
1-2 slicing tomatoes or 1 oxheart tomato
some basil leaves
sea salt
Pepper, freshly grounded
4 tablespoons of extra vergin olive oil
This is how it’s done
You start with preheating the oven to 250° C.
Cut the ciabatta into thin or mediumsized slices. Place them on a baking tray.
Now you peel the clove of garlic and slice it into two half. Rub the cut faces each on 6 slices. Little cubes are the perfect shape for the tomatoes. Mix them with the olive oil and the salt. Place it then with the help of a spoon on the slices. Roast it in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, depending on the thickness of the slices.
Grind the pepper on top and place the basil leaves you like. Voilá. Serve it warm and enjoy.

If you have some left overs of dry bread you can use it for the preparation of ciabatta. Classic style is white bread, but very tasty are as well sour dough and spelt bread, if you like a little more intense taste.
With the choice of tomatoes you can also take cherry tomatoes. The most important thing is, that they should smell simply like tomato and summer.
